Recycled T-shirts are Environmentally Friendly

Why is buying a recycled T-shirt environmentally friendly?  The reason is that producing new T-shirts can have a negative impact on the environment and our waterways. That's because every new T-shirt requires water. Producing just one new T-shirt from cotton field to store shelf requires approximately 713 gallons of water...the same amount of water used during 100 showers!

Purchasing a recycled T-shirt from Teecycle is an eco friendly choice that reduces unnecessary water use. That's why Tim and Jess Cigelske founded Teecycle in 2008 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The goal has always been simple: recycle the best T-shirts available and make the best use of our resources. It's a simple and smart way to be a friend to our enviroment.

Teecycle shirts are unqiue, one-of-a-kind "pre-loved" t-shirts hand-selected from rummage sales, thrift stores or donated by friends. When you own a eco-friendy recycled Teecycle shirt, it says you care about the environment by re-using high-quality T-shirts with history, character and a unique story.

In addition to helping the environment by recycling used T-shirts, your pu
rchase also supports the River Revitalization Foundation. $1 of each sale is donated to restore urban river trails and waterways in the Milwaukee area. That's why our motto has always been Change your shirt. Change the world.
